The Microtex upper is supple yet strong and stable, allowing for a comfortable and consistent fit. Combined with Fizik’s advanced customization options, this shoe delivers the precise, secure feel racers demand.
A dedicated piece of upper wraps the instep and can be precisely adjusted with the Li2 BOA® platform for a snug fit and enhanced plantar fascia support. The volume of the forefoot area can be controlled via the Infinito, a special fit adjustment system. The Infinito equalizes tension and eliminates further pressure points by using the BOA® thread guide. This system works over a larger area of the shoe’s upper, pulling the eyelets in evenly from Allen directions for a more supportive and comfortable fit.
The volume control system enables a differentiated adjustment of the fit in the instep and forefoot area, the shape and volume of which can vary greatly from driver to driver. Featuring the Li2 BOA® Fit System platform with a smaller wheel and lower, more aerodynamic profile, cyclists can fine-tune the fit to their unique foot shape, ensuring maximum performance without sacrificing comfort.
This Infinito has an outsole with a special carbon fiber compound that saves weight and provides more stiffness. With a stiffness index of 10, this outsole is currently the stiffest that Fizik offers. A wide vent and deep internal channels provide cooling airflow that helps regulate temperature. The positioning of the cleats is set slightly further back compared to traditional settings to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce stress on the knees, which is particularly well-suited for very aggressive, forward-facing aero positions.
